The STIRN Estate, “a Signature in Alsace” located in SIGOLSHEIM near Colmar (France), has been a family business
passed down from father to son since 1450.
Fabien STIRN, an independent winemaker since 1999, took over the estate with his wife Odile STIRN after completing their studies in oenology in Reims.
Keen to produce great wines that express all the richness and diversity of the estate's terroirs, Fabien and Odile Stirn harvest all their grapes by hand.
The estate, certified organic since 2023, is located on some of Alsace's most renowned terroirs and grands crus in Alsace, such as the Schlossberg grand cru and the Mambourg grand cru.
The 12-hectare estate comprises around a hundred plots, which are vinified separately to offer four ranges of wines: the Signature des Cépages, the Signature des Grands Crus, the Signature de Fabien, and the Signature des Crémants.
The estate's philosophy is to preserve the aromatics of Alsatian grape varieties and the identity of the terroirs through dry, fine wines with brightness and elegance. The estate's logo reflects this philosophy, symbolizing a signature written with finesse and purity.
Since then, the estate has grown by opening up to new foreign markets that were completely absent previously. The current plan is to find new markets so that their son, Clément STIRN, can easily take over the estate after completing his studies in oenology in Switzerland. This will ensure that the tradition of passing the estate from father to son continues.
