The Grands Entretiens by Cité du Vin provide the perfect opportunity to engage with iconic personalities from the world of wine, gathering testimonials of the men and women who leave a lasting impression on the culture of wine. The Cité du Vin was honoured to welcome wine writer and Financial Times columnist Jancis Robinson, the founder of JancisRobinson.com. British magazine Decanter describes her as “the most highly respected wine critic and writer in the world”. Jancis writes daily for JancisRobinson.com and also in the Financial Times. Her books have become a point of reference across the globe. In 1984, she was the first person outside the wine industry to successfully complete the gruelling Master of Wine programme and become an MW. In 2003, she was awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) by Her Majesty the Queen and is now a consultant for the royal cellars.
