I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Louis-Fabrice Latour.
Louis-Fabrice played a major role in the wine industry, through the international reputation of his production and negociant company, but also through his many tenures as chairman of key institutions within our industry (Syndicat des négociants-éleveurs de Bourgogne (FNEB), Fédération des exportateurs de vins et spiritueux (FEVS), Bureau interprofessionnel des vins de Bourgogne (BIVB)).
A loyal, dedicated and committed man, his action, his determination and his strategic vision garnered unanimous support among those who knew him.
Louis-Fabrice also played a pivotal role worldwide in the development of Vinexpo, then Vinexposium, as a member of our strategic planning committee since 2008.
Louis-Fabrice, whom I was fortunate enough to regularly spend time with, was a very profound human being, always enthusiastic and ready to engage with others. His input and his advice were always extremely precise and had an impact on the choices made by our company and its unwavering commitment to industry interests.
His passing goes way beyond the wine industry and our company. It affects every one of us.
I would like to pay tribute to the man himself and to our friendship, which was forged over the years. I would also like to express my sincerest condolences to his wife, his children and his family.
