The Grands Entretiens by Cité du Vin provide the perfect opportunity to engage with iconic personalities from the world of wine, gathering testimonials of the men and women who leave a lasting impression on the culture of wine.
After a master’s degree in philosophy, Pascaline chose to turn her focus on wine. With a deep-rooted love of Anjou, she immediately embraced the energy of the visionary winegrowers in her region. Her training in gastronomy with the chef Jacques Thorel allowed her to taste the classic icons very early on in her career. Her background in both wine and gourmet food led her to develop wine lists for Michelin-starred restaurants in Belgium and the United States where she showed great respect for work in the vineyards. Her lists have been awarded by the New York Times and the World of Fine Wine. A Master Sommelier, France’s 2018 Best Sommelier and Best Craftsperson, voted 2019 Personality of the Year by the Revue du Vin de France, she recently opened Chambers, a new restaurant in TriBeCa, New York, with a cellar of over 3,000 different wines, mostly organic, biodynamic and natural. She teaches at ICE (New York), the Wine Scholar Guild and regularly takes part in international wine conferences. She writes the ‘Vu d'Ailleurs’ column in the Revue du Vin de France. She represented France at the World’s Best Sommelier competition held in Paris in February 2023. Pascaline made it to the semi-finals among 17 candidates and ranked 4th in this contest.
